A Look Back at the World of Stewpendous Trivia in September:

September, where did you go?

This month, we joined the celebration of the K-pop Demon Hunters phenomenon at Sidetrack. We also moved Punch Bowl Social Music Bingo to Saturdays for the foreseeable future, so join us to start your weekend! Love Music Bingo? We also have Music Bingo at Lizzie McNeill's every second & fourth Tuesday of the month, and at Fat Rosies on Wednesdays.

We were excited to bring Beard & Belly a Mean Girls / Clueless Brunch on the last Sunday of September. We love a brunch! Don't forget, we have shows at Beard & Belly on the first and last Monday of every month at 8 pm. This month also brought many theme nights, including The Lord of the Rings Trivia Night at Replay Andersonville! We had a great time at a new venue, Demo Brewing Company, celebrating our favorite 90s movies. At Stewpendous Productions, there is always time to celebrate the 90s and our favorite pastime, going to Blockbuster, renting a movie, and buying candy. Be Kind Rewind!

This month, we learned that trivia goes great with lunch, block parties, and mixers!

We brought quizzical good times to the Goldberg Cullen Law Firm for a work lunch, had the opportunity to help TWO neighborhood block parties board the Stewpendous Fun Bus, and went to the Cascade apartment complex downtown to take part in their resident mixer. We ended our busy month with a social networking event for incoming freshmen with the 3rd Annual Dorm Showdown at the U of Chicago.

FUN FACT OF THE MONTH!

The Fall Equinox occurs around Sept 22nd when day and night hours are equal worldwide. It’s one of two days when the sun is directly above the equator.

Upcoming Stewpendous Chicago Trivia in October!

Kicking off the month, we are celebrating our favorite showgirl, Taylor Swift, with trivia shows at both SideTrack and Replay Andersonville. So shake it off, throw on your orange sparkly cardigan, and invite your friend Ophelia to join us! It's Halloween season at Sidetrack, and we are going BIG with our annual Buffy Vs. Wednesday Trivia Show — and we will also be celebrating our favorite Disney villains with an epic night of trivia. We'll have a Tim Burton Trivia Night at Replay on October 22nd.

Clear your calendar for October 19th! Our next trivia brunch at Beard & Belly will be Rocky Horror Picture Show vs Little Shop of Horrors! Looking for something fun on Halloween Night? Lucky for us, it falls on the last Friday of the month, which means we'll have a special Halloween Trivia Show at Loaves & Witches.

And why not throw in something new this month? We're now playing Lotería, the Mexican card game of chance, at Fat Rosie’s at 7 pm on Wednesday nights. But as always, it will have our Stewpendous Twist!

We love a FUNdraiser, so we're joining the Chicago Job Council on October 14th for their Fall Fundraiser. This year, our theme is Trivia Through the Decades. Get tickets here, and join us for a good cause!

Our Stewpendous Recipe!

Stewpendous Productions firmly believes that trivia is always better when snacks are involved. We want to take the opportunity to celebrate our love of Pop Culture with wacky concepts on snacks and cocktails. Nostalgia is a key pillar of our quizzical philosophy! Every month, we’ll give you a fun, nostalgic recipe that will awaken your memories!

Corpse Bride Margarita

This month's drink is inspired by Tim Burton's hauntingly beautiful stop-motion movie “The Corpse Bride”. The first stop-motion movie to be shot digitally!

What is the name of the short film Tim Burton created in 1984 that later became a Disney animated feature?
