Whimsical Weekly Wrap-up
Greetings, Love Biscuits!
Welcome to the Stewpendous Whimsical Weekly Wrap-up!
We're going to dive a little deeper into our nerdy love of research and information. You see, after our shows during the week, we get follow-up questions about some of the rounds or specific questions in our trivia shows. Stew is a natural rambler and admits he nerds out a bit too much on certain questions, writing fun, interesting lead-ins. He realizes just because he thinks it’s super interesting doesn’t mean it needs to be shared. He’s working on it! 😁
We wanted to find a fun and fascinating way to continue the conversation from our trivia shows. Our Wrap-up will provide additional information, highlight some of our favorite moments of the week, and prove we didn’t just make up the wacky stories Stew finds when he is writing the show.
What Folks Are Talking About
In round one of our trivia games, we tell you it’s about the absurd, the delicious, and the "Who asked for this"? of it all, and sometimes they are so absurd we need to show the receipts that we aren’t making this stuff up. So here ya go, Love Biscuits: more information about the four ridiculous things folks are talking about this week.
Cup Noodles released Vampire Noodles, a limited-edition hot garlic ramen with savory chicken flavor and a little trick up its sleeve. What is the trick ? – The broth turns blood red when you add in the hot water.
Just because you can doesn’t mean you should - Tombstone Frozen Pizza is selling an unexpected flavor mashup claiming it to be the The Official Pizza of Halloween. They claim on socials: "Hear us out…It’s weirdly good." What candy comes with your pepperoni pizza to sprinkle and bake on top ? – Candy Corn
If you are bold enough to give it a go, there is one scheduled online release left!
October 23
Poppowls at-home movie theater popcorn kits, you don't just make popcorn, you stir up a magical adventure that brings your favorite stories to life. What Horror franchise did they partner with that includes a “stabberies & Cream” Popcorn Seasoning ? – SCREAM
Buffalo Wild Wings is going all in with their halloween menu with black garlic glaze and a spicy garlic drizzle. Wash your wings down with Halloween-inspired take on the margarita, dubbed the Vampirita. They hired the perfect spokesperson, who knows a thing or two about vampires, to launch the menu with a social media campaign.
Who is it? – Sarah Michelle Gellar
Leslie's Favorite Questions
This section of The Whimsical Weekly Wrap-Up is to answer the big question:
Who is Leslie?
Leslie takes Stew’s crazy ideas and turns them into awesome activity sheets; she also assembles every music bingo sheet every week. Her other big responsibility is providing an extra set of eyes to look over every show before we put it out there for you to enjoy. Since every show is reviewed by Leslie, we thought it was only right that she got to share her favorite questions from the entire week.
From 1904 to 1964 at the intersection of Belmont and Western Avenues there was an amusement park that once claimed to be “the world’s largest amusement park” and is now merely one of Chicago’s most cherished memories.
A Carousel, a free-fall parachute ride called Pair-o-Chutes; Aladdin’s Castle funhouse and The Bobs roller coaster were among their top attractions. What was the name of this Chicago destination for fun?
Riverview Olde Chicago Tivoli Gardens
When I read this question I was like, WHAT? An Amusement Park!? In the middle of Chicago?! Thats so fun! And guess who found a YouTube documentary about it?
ME. I did. Apparently, without notice, it just shut down one day after a secret deal was made. How rude. Y'all, I don't think we all realize how much was literally started at Riverview. Footlong Hot Dogs, Separate ride tickets, and its where the super cool fast crazy rollercoasters began!
Which 1990s Angelica Houston film was rebooted 30 years later with Anne Hathaway ?
------ Witches
And which Witches film is superior? I think we all know this answer.
...Did anyone else want to turn into a mouse and explore a hotel?
This isn’t a question per se, but on Tuesday, Stew had a special Halloween Sitcom Episode round, and it just made me miss “prime time TV” and how we would always get a bunch of Halloween episodes from sitcoms (and dramas! ER, anybody?). There are too many sweet Halloween episodes to put into one round, so here are two of my favorite sitcoms that weren’t mentioned.
Roseanne - BOO!
