A Look Back at the Stewpendous World in September:

Green Day sang Wake Me Up When September Ends, but I feel like I just went to bed and it’s already October!

September was an epic month for Stewpendous Productions! It kicked off with Bundt Cake and ended with Broadway.

We had so much fun collaborating with the Andersonville Nothing Bundt Cake store to help them celebrate their 3rd anniversary. We created a one-of-a-kind activity sheet game for their customers to play and submit for a chance to win big prizes. We got to be there on the big day as their most loyal customers waited in line for a coveted prize.

September allowed me to bring the fun to two different block parties across Chicagoland! I brought good time, boogie down beats, emceed the evenings, and delivered joy to their communities. It’s always fun when I get to do outdoor versions of what is typically considered indoor fun.

We hosted our fourth Pokémon Trivia night at Sidetrack! It just gets better every time. The community of Pokémon fans and players is a beautiful group, and they are so kind and supportive as I host the night. I admit that I’m not a player, just the messenger of the information. My favorite part about Pokémon trivia nights is that I get to collaborate with my nephew who attends Kent State. He is a big player and fan, so together we come up with the shows. You keep coming, we'll keep bringing the shows!

,

I took a work trip to Rochester, NY, to support Kelly Dee, the OG Sparkle Squad Member. She performed the most recent workshop of the play we’ve been working on together, The Estate Sale. It’s always a thrill to see words you put on the page brought to life by a great actress like Kelly Dee.  Big thanks to the Sparkle Squad for covering for me here in Chicago so I could make it to the show.

If you haven’t visited Rochester, NY, you are missing out on a really cool town with one of the most fun museums I’ve ever been to. The Strong Museum of Play with the Toy Hall of Fame was the best day, and it lived up to its name as we played the day away on Sunday before I flew back to Chicago. Put it on your list of cities to visit; you won’t be disappointed!

The month ended with a fabulous night celebrating Broadway with our partners at Gallagher Way for Music Bingo! We had the amazing opportunity to collaborate with Broadway in Chicago, and they brought the best prizes for all the Music Theatre Fans.

On the final night of September, we put on a show for the Umbraco company. This show was like no other trivia show we ever did. They wanted to make it a legendary night, and I think we achieved that goal with the help of the Sparkle Squad. We didn’t just ask a question; Cam, dressed as a mime, acted it out. We didn’t just play a theme song for the music challenge; we had Ross with his guitar playing the theme songs live! It was a huge challenge, but, honestly, there is no greater reward than seeing all the smiles and hearing all the joy in the room in response to the work you put in.

FUN FACT OF THE MONTH!

October is the perfect time to watch all your favorite scary movies. And none is more classic than Hitchcock’s Psycho. The famous shower stabbing scene with the blood going down the drain was actually Bosco Chocolate Syrup!

Whip out those datebooks and calendars, Love Biscuits! Here are our upcoming themed shows. Be sure to invite your Bestie Boos!

We want to highlight our two new shows! We've kicked off a new partnership with two more opportunities for fun under the same roof. Located at 600 W Chicago!

5 PM Wednesday nights will be Bingo Bonanza at Monty’s

6 PM Thursday nights will be Trivia at Motel Bar
