A Look Back at the World of Stewpendous Trivia in October:

October! One Big Halloween Celebration!

Ya'll, what a ride the 31 days of October have been!! October started with Love and ended with Witches. With the incredible assistance from Kelly Dee, we traveled to Meadville, Pennsylvania, to stage manage and run my niece's wedding. We kept it on time, we kept it fun, and we kept it grooving all night.  I love helping people create a vision of their special day and bring it to reality!

We kept the Stewpendous Fun Train rolling after returning to Chicago and had the pleasure of having the most fun Halloween-themed shows all month long!

We celebrated the films of Tim Burton at Replay Andersonville, and our favorite scary movies like Scream, and iconic Disney Villains at Sidetrack. October gave us another opportunity to host a trivia brunch at Beard and Belly, where we learned that mimosas, trivia, and singing Little Shop of Horrors make a perfect Sunday trifecta.

Another big event that October brought was the rollout of our latest game, ¡Lotería! We are piloting it now with our partners at Fat Rosie’s. We're so excited, we have so many big ideas for how to make this classic game a little more … STEWPENDOUS! I took a little time to celebrate my birthday (hello 45) and enjoy the fun of this spooky season. The final week of October, leading up to Halloween, we had 13 shows packed with more fright and fun, concluding with a very special show on Halloween at Loaves and Witches. WHEW!

A month full of Halloween shows, and we still found time to bring the fun to work!

Our Stewpendous Recipe!

Stewpendous Productions firmly believes that trivia is always better when snacks are involved. We want to take the opportunity to celebrate our love of Pop Culture with wacky concepts on snacks and cocktails. Nostalgia is a key pillar of our quizzical philosophy! Every month, we’ll give you a fun, nostalgic recipe that will awaken your memories!

Stranger Things Upside Down Shot

The final Chapter of Stranger Things kicks off Thanksgiving Break, and we are so excited to revisit the '80s one last time and see how it’s all going to end.

Ingredients:

A common recipe for this shot includes:

  • vanilla vodka

  • pineapple juice

  • a splash of grenadine

  • garnished with a maraschino cherry

Directions:

The vodka and pineapple juice are shaken with ice and strained into a shot glass, then the grenadine is carefully added to create the bottom layer.  - It tastes just like a Pineapple Upside Down Cake!

If you are planning a viewing party for the first epic episode, here is a link to creative ways to use Eggo Waffles aside from smothering them in syrup.
