Greetings, Love Biscuits!

Welcome to the Stewpendous Whimsical Weekly Wrap-up!

We're going to dive a little deeper into our nerdy love of research and information. You see, after our shows during the week, we get follow-up questions about some of the rounds or specific questions in our trivia shows. Stew is a natural rambler and admits he nerds out a bit too much on certain questions, writing fun, interesting lead-ins. He realizes just because he thinks it’s super interesting doesn’t mean it needs to be shared. He’s working on it! 😁

We wanted to find a fun and fascinating way to continue the conversation from our trivia shows. Our Wrap-up will provide additional information, highlight some of our favorite moments of the week, and prove we didn’t just make up the wacky stories Stew finds when he is writing the show.

What Folks Are Talking About

In round one of our trivia games, we tell you it’s about the absurd, the delicious, and the "Who asked for this"? of it all, and sometimes they are so absurd we need to show the receipts that we aren’t making this stuff up. So here ya go, Love Biscuits: more information about the four ridiculous things folks are talking about this week.

Four badge-shaped cookies in the center of a blue star. One cartoon dog with brown markings sits in front of the star while another dog peeks out from behind it. It says Meet Patch Pals, Girl Scouts' first dog cookie. Online only.

Girl Scouts announced some new products for their next Cookie Selling Season, including Patch Pals. What makes this new cookie they are selling the first of its kind?

They are cookies for dogs

Just in time for the upcoming fall, Brach’s candy company they are releasing a limited-time perfume fragrance. What does it smell like? Candy Corn

A bright red banner on top says New! Below it are two bags side to side. One blue and the other is brown. The Tootsie mascot, Hoots, is seen on the front juggling colorful candies.

Tootsie, famous for their Rolls & Pops, announced a new product rolling out on Sept. 16th. A thin candy shell around an orb with a soft tootsie center. Inspired by their famous mascot, what is the name of this new candy? HOOTS

The Ringpop advertisement for their Wedding Collection. There are several wrapped Ring Pops in a white and gold wrapping. There are flowers behind the wrapped cand

First Kiss Watermelon, Main Squeeze Lemon, and Berry in Love Strawberry are the three available flavors of the new Wedding Collection of popular fruity candy. Each of the individually wrapped candies comes with 12 different sayings like “I said Yes,” "Hard Launch", & "Off the Market.” What Candy is asking you to say YES to their new love-centered candy? Ring Pops

Leslie's Favorite Questions

This section of The Whimsical Weekly Wrap-Up is to answer the big question:

Who is Leslie?

Leslie takes Stew’s crazy ideas and turns them into awesome activity sheets; she also assembles every music bingo sheet every week. Her other big responsibility is providing an extra set of eyes to look over every show before we put it out there for you to enjoy.  Since every show is reviewed by Leslie, we thought it was only right that she got to share her favorite questions from the entire week.

Not only was Laserbeak a cassette tape, but Soundwave was a tape player,

and that is just so 80s.

Soundwave is Megatron's loyal lieutenant and communication officer. Laserbeak is a robotic condor that is his minion. What very 80s thing does Laserbeak transform into?

A cassette tape

The Soundwave transformer in blue and white is standing behind a "cassette player", which is Soundwave when he is transformed. On the top left is Laserbeak as the condor and also as the cassette tape. Laserbeak is red, black, and grey.
Did you also just hear the Transformers transforming sound?

This is so cool. Did you know Lilo & Stitch was the first movie in 60 years to use watercolor backgrounds? Also, if you want to nerd out even more like me: Mary Blair is one of the most famous Disney watercolor artists, and this article has a lot of cool Disney watercolor backgrounds.

Disney Animated Classics were originally Hand-Drawn 2D: Every movement, character, and background was originally painted or sketched by hand using pen, pencil, and what other technique primarily for background scenery? Watercolor

Did any of you watch Poltergeist 3? The one where Carol Ann is at her uncle's condo in a high-rise building? I remember she was playing with a Speak & Spell before being lured to the window. And I SWEAR it was saying "Carol Ann". But I've seen it many times, and I only heard that once. CREEPY right?

This learning toy of the 80s was used by ET as the main processing and sound component to build his communication to phone home. What is the name of the toy he used? Speak and Spell

Stew had this song in the Music Challenge Round, and I thought everyone should listen to it.

Favorite Moment of the Week!

We want to conclude our weekly whimsical wrap up with some favorite moments of the week, our favorite doodles you doodled, and share fun and magical moments that took place.

This week two people were crocheting who didn’t know each other at the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Trivia night. When they saw each other crocheting they connected and were showing each other their work. So we HAD to take a picture!

Two people are standing behind a table holding up their crochet creations. The blonde woman on the left is holding up her brown colored item which looks like a scarf at the moment. The African American man on the right is holding up a larger purple creation, which looks like the top of a sweater

This officially wraps up the week! We are already working on next week’s quizzical good times for you to enjoy with your bestie boos.

We love being a part of your community and having you a part of ours. If you have a topic you would love to see at future show send us a DM on Instagram!
