A Look Back at the World of Stewpendous Trivia in June:

Wait...how many shows did we do this month?

June was a month for the record books for Stewpendous Productions. We had the privilege of delivering quizzical good times to over 70 Stewpendous Shows for Love Biscuits all over Chicagoland! We even added some ballyhoo to your workweek by turning boardrooms into fun rooms and bringing fun to conferences after long days of meetings.

June gave us plenty of unexpected moments to journal about, too, from throwing out t-shirts at the Anthony Rapp concert to sharing the stage with social media influencers and Hollywood actors.

This month, we launched two new shows: a Bingo Bonanza at HQ in River North and a new partnership at RISE Mundelein Lounge for a once-a-month trivia experience. We love getting the opportunity to expand our Stewpendous Love Biscuit community here in Chicago and to new and distant places like the Northern Burbs LOL

June also had the biggest show I’ve ever hosted! Over 600 people showed up to Joe’s on Weed Street for a special StubHub Movie Trivia night. 600 people ended up forming over 40 teams! I am so grateful to the incredible staff and volunteers who helped me, especially Gina from the Art House Convergence. You all helped keep the energy flowing and the vibes vibing.

The depths of my gratitude have no limits for everyone who decided to add Stewpendous Fun to their lives in June. If it was for a Pokémon Night, Heated Rivalry, Broadway, Madonna, or just a classic night of games, we thank you for being on this journey with us. I’m so excited to continue delivering fun to you and yours.

FUN FACT OF THE MONTH!

1826

America's 50th birthday, also known as the "Jubilee of Independence".

On July 4th 1826, John Adams, whose health had been failing, died at age 90 on his farm in Massachusetts. His apocryphal last words, referencing his lifelong friend and rival, were "Thomas Jefferson survives." What he didn’t know was that just a few hours earlier, Jefferson died at the age of 83.

Both founding fathers died on July 4th, hours apart.

Upcoming Stewpendous Chicago Trivia in July!

July is starting with a bang! Get it!?

On July 9th, we kick off our Streeterville Social summer residency on #WeDrinkPink Wednesdays. Join us every Wednesday at 6:30 pm for trivia, cocktails, and gorgeous rooftop views of the Chicago Skyline.

We will continue to bring our summer of Stewpendous fun to Gallagher Way!

July 7th is Trivia Night - this month we're putting the call out to all Marvel & DC nerds!

July 28th is Music Bingo - this month will be a big dance party, celebrating EDM, House Music, and our favorite DJs

We also have a few fundraisers coming up this month!

The Chicago Film Festival Trivia Show Fundraiser will be on July 26th at Midwest Coast Brewing. Buy a ticket, support an awesome art organization, and come up for some trivia and beer!

On July 28th, we will once again work with The John Howard Association for their annual Toast to Justice trivia night fundraiser. Support a great organization fighting for change.

Whether it is for a classic trivia night, a theme night, or a fundraiser, we hope to see you out there having fun!

Sparkle Squad Spotlights

This month, Leslie Nesbit, our graphic designer, newsletter-er, and music bingo playlist maker-er, is coming to Chicago!

iO Fest, Chicago's largest comedy festival, is happening from July 23 to July 26. Leslie's team, The Show, is coming with their original form, Dun-Dun, a fully improvised crime procedural! She is excited to come and enjoy the Chicago summer!

Check out the fest, but more importantly, come see her show! Saturday at 5 pm.

Leslie is not in this picture. But she heard this was a good episode.

Our Stewpendous Recipe!

Stewpendous Productions firmly believes that trivia is always better with snacks. We want to celebrate our love of Pop Culture with a monthly recipe for a snack or a cocktail. Nostalgia is a key pillar of our quizzical philosophy! Every month, we’ll give you a fun, nostalgic pop-culture recipe that will surely awaken your memories!

Short on time and want to whip up something sweet for a get-together on July 4th?

We found this red, white, and blue "Freedom" bark you can whip up! We think you should add your own flair and add some fun extras, maybe dried raspberries or blueberries. There are so many taste additions you could add to it and be the talk of your BBQ!

Freedom Bark

Ingredients:

Recipe found on Delish

1 cup white candy melts, melted
1 cup blue candy melts, melted
1 cup red candy melts, melted
1/3 cup red, white, and blue sprinkles
2 Tbsp. edible gold stars (available at craft stores)
2 Tbsp. blue edible glitter (available at craft stores)

Directions:

On a baking sheet, add spoonfuls of melted white, blue, and red candy melts, adding twice as many white spoonfuls as red and blue.
Using an offset spatula or knife, swirl colors together, creating a tie-dye effect.
op with sprinkles and edible gold stars and glitter.
Freeze for 20 minutes.
Break into pieces and serve
